Specialty classes offered by local Guest instructors that specialize in their craft! These classes are only offered on occasion so make sure to snag your spot early!
Make a 2D style vase and decorate it! We learn the basics of building with slabs in this fun workshop suitable for ages 7+
Pieces will be finished and fired after class by the studio for pickup in 4-6 weeks. Ages 21+ BYOB optional.
This all ages class is a fun way to get your hands in clay off the wheel! Learn to sculpt and form characters, monsters, animals or anything your imagination dreams up! Shaping, smoothing and attaching techniques are used in this guided class.
Make a journal that’s unmistakably yours! In this two-hour workshop, you'll craft your own leather-bound journal from scratch. Measuring, cutting, dying and shaping. Then finishing your journal with eyelets and charms that make it yours.
Make art with sunlight! Learn the 19th-century cyanotype process — arrange leaves, flowers, lace, and found objects on light-sensitive paper, expose them to the sun, and watch one-of-a-kind prints develop in glowing Prussian blue. All materials and instruction included. No experience needed.
Learn how to make your own small books using the art of Japanese stab binding! This class shows you how to bind together multiple single sheets of paper. All materials and instruction included. No experience needed. Use these new handmade books for sketching, notes, junk journals or even gifts!
Learn advanced collage techniques, using paint, textured paper, printed media and even found objects on Bristol board and sealed to last! All materials and instruction included. No experience needed. This unique class will offer guidance on creating a dynamic piece of art using mixed media.
Learn how to saddle stitch with leather! You will learn how to mark your holes out, punch them by hand and sew with the traditional two needle technique to make hand stitching with leather approachable! Each participant will be able to take a sample home with them to continue their practice and perfect their technique.
Learn the art of pyrography including line work, shading techniques, cleaning and maintaining your tools! You will have your choice of working on either a leather or wooden project of your choosing. All materials and instruction included. No experience needed. This unique class will offer guidance on creating a dynamic piece of art using wood or leather burning.
